True Blood

So the same guy who let me borrow Sons of Anarchy, also let me borrow True Blood. I never got into it because I don't have HBO and so I never started watching it. But I watched it, and yet another show that I got hooked on. (thanks Jesse)

I think this show is like Twilight only with cursing, drugs, more violence and a lot of sex. Its one of those shows that after the first couple of episodes, you get hooked. What I especially like about this show is that it changes the rules about vampires a little bit. Vampires can see their own reflection and they have no weakness to crosses or garlic. But the biggest change is that the entire world is aware that vampires exist. They came out of the casket so to speak. Vampires coexist with humans. They are given rights and are supposed to be treated as equals. That what makes this show unique. Every single vampire movie has always made it so vampires exist but the world has no knowledge of it. Only a select few, and they are the ones who explain the rules to the audience. In the case, its comes from the vampires. Its a real interesting take on the vampire genre. And I like the fact that takes place in Louisiana.

The show follows Sookie played by Anna Paquin. A bar maid who falls in love with vampire Bill played Stephen Moyer. Sookie is special because she can hear people's thoughts. There are also shape shifters, werewolves, and some other cool stuff.

There is a lot too it than that but you have to start watching to get all the details. Definitely recommend watching this show. Yes indeed.

When I die I.....

My wife and I were talking things that we would like to have happen after we die. Here is a list of things that I came up with.
  • I would like to be cremated.

  • Have my ashes scattered over Dave Matthews grave site. (just kidding)

  • Be made into Keith cookies or Keith brownies but don't tell people until after they ate some.

  • Have my ashes put into little baggies and handed out to people that show up. Just to gross people out.

  • Be buried in a random family members backyard but only Jess knows who.

  • Have a treasure map to my ashes.

  • Have my eulogy be every blog entry up to my death and everyone has to sit through the reading of each one. (to those who don't read my blog and I ask them to!)

  • Have beer, chicken wings and pizza at my funeral. Because who wouldn't want some wings at a funeral....cmon.

  • Make sure someone has a cigarette ready for Jess.

  • Have a viewing of my Top 5 favorite movies, whatever they may be at the time.

  • Have Dave Matthews Band music playing in the background.

  • Have trampolines.

  • At the funeral, have fake ashes in an urn and have it spill out on somebody as a joke.

  • Be smoked by my wife. (ha ha, this one would be funny)

  • Have somebody punch the surgeon who did my first 2 surgeries that didn't work.

  • If I'm not cremated, have somebody reenact Weekend at Bernie's.

  • At the funeral, have a murder mystery play/dinner.

  • Have someone read a letter from me describing what heaven is like.

  • Will still be in love with Jess.

So that's all I have for now. I'm sure I'll think of more later. I don't want to die, but I married the girl of my dreams so I could go happy if I had to. There's so much more I want to experience. This was just for fun.

Little Red Bird

"Little red bird, under a chair. Waiting for the crumbs to fall. Daddy said get a job. But don't you see daddy how good I am at catching crumbs. Guns and Gods and little red birds."

"General Custer is sad, underestimated his abilities to win. Sitting Bull turned the tables on him. A comfort to count the battles won after the war is lost. Guns and Gods and little red birds."

"If there was a place, hidden in the stars, reflectin' on heaven's graces. If God had an honest face...the troubled expression would be watching the human race."

Sons of Anarchy

This is another show that I never got into until just recently. My buddy from work has the seasons for this show on DVD. He let me borrow it and I couldn't stop watching it. I must have finished two seasons in like about a week and a half. This show a awesome!

Basically the story behind this show is simple. A biker gang called the Sons of Anarchy operate out of a small town called Charming, located somewhere in California. Northern California I think. Anyway, the club basically run guns in and out of town for a profit obviously. They have the chief of police on their payroll along with some other big names in town. They are very territorial, very big on loyalty, very big on family and respect. Its basically the Mafia on motorcycles. It's the Sopranos meets the Hells Angels. Its also on FX. So when it airs, their is cursing, sex, violence....everything you want out of a show like this. The rest of the storyline is so intricate that I can't even go into all the angles and all the stories behind each episode. If you going to start watching the show, I recommend starting it from the very beginning. Sons of Anarchy is awesome, I love this show. Yes indeed.

Glee

So I recently got into this show. My friends were telling me to watch it a while ago and I just never took the time to record it on the DVR. But my in-laws actually have the first season and i watched it and was hooked.

Glee is a show about a high school Spanish teacher who has a real interest in the glee club. He has a chance to take over the club and starts recruiting students for the club. Not too many are interested at first but students soon sign up. However, upon signing up for the club, they are now subject to teasing, torturing and relentless harassment. However each show they manage to over come. The show is filled with numerous moments for the cast to shine. All the characters are unique. They all have their own little quirks and they all can sing. The one that shines above all the rest as far as singing has to be Rachel played by Lea Michele. She has given me goosebumps more times than I can count. And lets not forget about Sue Sylvester played by Jane Lynch. She sometimes steals the show with her clever one liners and hilarious hatred that she has for the Glee club especially the teacher Will Schuester played by Matt Morrison.

The show is awesome. It as a great story line. A great cast. Not to mention, they perform some unbelievable songs in their show. It also has a good message behind it. That even though you might be strange and not popular, doesn't mean you can't be a part of a group, have friends and do something that means something to you. Glee is original, awesome and is should be watched by all.
