The Yes Indeed Papers Salute...

 John Candy
(1950 - 1994)

John Candy is my November pick for the unappreciated actor. I was flipping the channels the other day and came across a movie that featured him in a small role. Then I started thinking about all of his roles. Whether he had a lead role or just a supporting role, John Candy killed it every time. The guy is comedy personified. He is awesome. He pulls off this like, charming yet, dorky hilarious comedy. It's almost like he doesn't even try. He died way too young. So I figured he was an appropriate pick for the unappreciated actor. Here are some of his more memorable roles:

  • 1941
  • The Blues Brothers
  • Stripes
  • National Lampoon's Vacation
  • Splash
  • Brewster's Millions
  • Summer Rental
  • Volunteers
  • Armed and Dangerous
  • Little Shop of Horrors
  • Spaceballs
  • Planes, Trains & Automobiles
  • The Great Outdoors
  • Who's Harry Crumb?
  • Uncle Buck
  • Home Alone
  • Nothing But Trouble
  • JFK
  • Rookie of the Year
  • Cool Runnings
  • Wagons East
  • Canadian Bacon

John Candy is the man. He died way too young and hopefully this will help people remember that he was awesome. So John Candy, from all of here at The Yes Indeed Papers (and by all of us I mean just me), thank you for the movies, and we salute you........yes indeed.
