50 / 50

50/50

So I watched 50/50 recently. I've been wanting to watch this for a while but never got around to it and I'm a little upset at myself that I haven't watched it sooner. 50/50 is an amazing movie!

The movie is based off of true events about a guy named Adam, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who get cancer and how to live with it. He has to deal with the fact that he has cancer and he's probably going to die. His buddy Seth Rogen tries to take him out and pick up women and just lighten everything up. His mother is an overprotective women who is annoying the hell out of him. His girlfriend is not treating him the way he wants to be treated. He gets assigned to go to a shrink who had only 2 previous patients and is younger than he is. And to top it all off.....o yeah, he has cancer! But what Adam soon realizes, is that while all these things are bad, is attitude towards it all is all up to him. Throughout the whole movie, Adam never embraces his feeling of the fact that it is OK to get mad at the hand he was dealt. And that the people in his life are there for him. Even though one of them is a piece of s***.

50/50 is and amazing movie that is full of emotion. And it is hilarious. It was so well written and ends in a way that doesn't end. Meaning, it ends, but doesn't lay out the rest of his life for you. Some people don't like those kind of endings, but I do. An amazing cast gives an awesome performance in what I think is one of 2011's top 5 best movies. Watch it!
