The Ripple Effect

Do you ever think about where you are right now? What decisions you made to get to where you are? Not just in life, but where you are in the world. Things had to go a certain way in order for certain things to go the way the did. If I didn't decide to move to Kentucky, then I wouldn't have met Jess. But the deeper I go, the more intricate the design. I had to have been invited to Kentucky by my friend and he had to have had certain situations happen to him in order to even think about that. And then Jess had to have certain things happen to her in order for her to move down to Kentucky as well. The more you think about it, the more your head can hurt. And I could probably write a 1000 pages on the design of my life and would barely scratch the surface. The point is that we have no idea as to how far the ripples of our decisions go. The affect that we're potentially doing to someone that we haven't even met yet. It's fun to look back on and see how far you can trace decisions. But it's also neat to think about it the next time your deciding anything. One decision, a lifetime of circumstances? You never know. Food for thought.
