Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

So I watched this one last night. I am a big fan of the first one so I was excited to see the sequel. And after watching it, I can easily say that I was not disappointed.

So I say I wasn't disappointed but that doesn't mean that this was the best movie ever. It simply means that I'm happy that I watched it. The movie was fun, action packed, suspenseful and comedic. Robert Downey Jr. is perfect for the role of Sherlock Holmes. His chemistry with his partner Watson, played by Jude Law is hilarious. And newcomer Noomi Rapace adds a certain female charm that is perfect for her character of a gypsy. The plot is a little difficult to describe in writing but it basically comes down to a villain named Professor Moriarty that wants an aspect of world domination. You first get introduced to Moriarty in the first movie. You jut never see his face, but it was to give you a small taste of the plot for this movie. Guy Ritchie is also back as the director and you can't really go wrong with Guy Ritchie. My only complaint about this movie, is that it was not as good as the first one. Most sequels do not measure up to the original, this one came close, but just wasn't as good. And I'm still not sure if I like the ending. I'll have to watch it again to make up my mind, which I have no problem doing.

Overall, Sherlock Holmes 2 is a good movie and I definitely enjoyed myself while watching it. I just didn't get up afterwards and say, "that was the best movie ever!" But that doesn't mean I didn't like, because I did. Yes indeed.

much better than the first by far, the whole first built to this one. Noomi Rapace is awesome--see original dragon tattoo movies if you want your mind blown, she steals prometheus as well, one of best actresses out there. Moriarity was dope, remember going to professor moriarty's in saratoga springs? nice little pub.
